Hey again! Building on my introduction, I'm Valerie Ramos, a UI/UX designer based in beautiful Panama.
My journey into the world of user experience wasn't a straight line, but a fascinating exploration that began with my experiences as a Back-End Java Programming Intern. Being involved in various roles to bring projects to life, I discovered the crucial role and creative problem-solving of UI/UX designers, which truly sparked my interest. This led me to pursue the Google UX Design Professional Certificate, solidifying my foundation in the field.
My design philosophy is deeply rooted in empathy and a commitment to creating intuitive experiences that are easily understood by everyone. I believe in putting people first, conducting thorough research (which I'm continuously developing!), and iterating designs based on user needs and feedback. For me, good design isn't just about aesthetics; it's about crafting solutions that are both beautiful and a joy to use.

-Understanding the User: While my experience with formal research methodologies and usability testing is growing, my foundation in empathetic design ensures a user-centered approach in all my work.
-Tech Adaptability: Always eager to learn new technological skills. While Figma is my current go-to, I have no hesitation in learning or adopting new technologies as needed.

Beyond the Screen
Outside the digital realm, I'm a curious explorer with a love for discovering new places and cultures. Learning languages is a passion of mine, and I'm currently enjoying the journey of learning French.
